My Mission
As a drum teacher at music2me, my goal in the online drum course is to convey the enthusiasm for rhythm and groove in a modern and practical way. My many years of experience as a live and studio drummer directly influence my teaching. With great passion, I bring my experiences from the professional music scene into the digital world – making learning drums accessible to everyone. In addition to my work at music2me, I regularly lead workshops at universities such as Cologne, Osnabrück, and the SAE Institute in Frankfurt. I believe in the power of music and rhythm – and through my teaching, I aim not only to impart technique but above all, joy of playing and expression.
Why Drums?
The energy and expressive power of the drums have fascinated me from the very beginning. No other instrument shapes the rhythm and dynamics of a song as strongly as the drum kit. Whether in a rock band, a jazz trio, or on big stages with pop acts – the drums are the heart of every musical style.
What fascinates me most is that as a drummer, you don’t just keep the beat, but significantly influence the mood and intensity of a piece. The combination of technique, timing, and feeling makes the instrument incredibly alive. Additionally, the drums are extremely versatile – from delicate brush techniques in jazz to powerful grooves in rock. For me, it is more than just a rhythm instrument: it is a creative means of expression with endless possibilities.
